Techwell Announces Tornado Turn Key PCI DVR Card for the CCTV
Security Surveillance Market
TW6802 Video Decoder with PCI Drives Feature Rich, Low Cost PC DVR Card Solution
SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 27, 2007) - Techwell, Inc. (Nasdaq:TWLL),
), a leading designer of mixed signal video semiconductor solutions for the security surveillance, automotive, and consumer electronics markets, today announced a fully optimized PC DVR Card solution for the CCTV Security Surveillance market. Leveraging its leading NTSC/PAL video decoding technology, the Tornado solution will enable PCI Card manufacturers and PC based system integrators to go to market quickly with a highly functional, cost effective solution. In mass production today, Tornado includes PCI card schematics, source code and application drivers.

The Techwell Tornado solution supports 4, 8 or 16 channels recording at various frame rates and resolutions. In addition, the Tornado application software allows for playback, rewind, fast-forward, search and other standard DVR functions. The Techwell PCI Card leverages Techwell's TW6802 video decoder with PCI and has a reliable TV quality video decoder core including 2D (4H) comb filter and exceptional weak signal performance for weak signal camera support.
